College Council

A Victorian government school council is comprised of the principal, parents, staff, students  and sometimes community members. The council assists with policy making, decisions around strategic directions, and monitoring of the progress of the school. Serving on school council is an opportunity for parents to make a real contribution to the governance of the school.
Parents are encouraged to nominate to be on the Council. You don’t need any particular qualifications or experience – just be an enthusiastic parent who wants to help improve the school. You can join a Council sub-committee without being nominated for Council.
Elections for school council positions are completed by the end of March each year. All parents or guardians of students enrolled at the school are eligible to vote.
Scoresby Secondary College 2016 President is Cindy Lopes and we welcome members of the community to join our sub committees. Just ask at the office.
Our 2016-17 College Council Sub Committees are:
  • Education Policy Committee
  • Finance Committee
  • Buildings and Grounds
  • Uniform Committee.
