Scoresby Secondary College is proud of the large number of students from all year levels who participate in the student leadership program, which brings students and teachers together to explore ways to improve our school.
The appointment of a Principal’s Student Advisory Team and student representation on College Council is seen as an opportunity for authentic student voice, as well as teaching valuable skills.
Teach the Teacher Program
Scoresby Secondary College student leaders have been leading the Teach the Teacher program.
The program enables students to be involved in important discussions about learning and teaching. The program recognises that students have a unique perspective. They are the ones sitting in the classroom every day and have ideas about what works and ways to improve teaching and learning, to make education even better.
The program was introduced last year has supported the development of stronger and more effective student-teacher relationships and is leading to improvements in teaching and results.
