Senior School

Students enrolled in the VCE will compete on a statewide basis to attain their VCE results. The focus of VCE students is to embrace every opportunity to improve their learning and understanding, and to thereby achieve the highest grades possible. This requires commitment, consistent hard work, parental support and sound skills, which are gained in Year 11.

Students enrolled in the VCE are members of the Senior School. They have responsibilities in addition to those outlined in the school's behaviour code. Senior students are expected to be appropriate role models for junior students. They are expected to take responsibility for their own behaviour and facilitate appropriate intervention when the behaviour of others is not acceptable.

VCE students have access to a wealth of resources and programs. The VCE Centre is an excellent study facility for Year 12 Students. Staff who are expert in the areas of Careers, VET and Jobs Pathways are available to assist in decision making for post school options. Resource Centre staff support students in their study and research. Welfare staff are able to help out in those stressful moments.

Students are encouraged to take leadership roles and are provided with support and training to equip them to do so successfully. They are given the opportunity to contribute to the school and broader community in a socially responsible manner. Students can participate in sport, music, the production, camps and social events such as the debutante ball. When these activities take students out of the classroom, it is their responsibility to find out what work was covered and meet any work requirements and deadlines.

The Senior School team encourages students to grasp every opportunity to develop as resilient, informed and respectful people and to be co operative, articulate and hard working members of the school community.
